on-premise
Locally installed software
On-premise describes software or hardware located at a company's own facilities rather than hosted remotely by a third party.
An on-premise server sits in your building; a cloud server doesn't.
The term emerged as cloud computing created the need to distinguish local infrastructure from remote services.
Often spelled on-premises, which is grammatically standard but less common in tech contexts.
