PeopleSoft

Oracle-owned business software

PeopleSoft is enterprise software for managing human resources, finances, and other business operations.

Originally an independent company founded in 1987, it was acquired by Oracle in 2005 after a hostile takeover.

The name persists as a product line and in IT job postings: We need someone with PeopleSoft experience.

HR departments often simply call it People.
