A northwesterner is someone from the northwestern part of a region or country.
In American usage, it typically refers to residents of the Pacific Northwest—Washington, Oregon, and sometimes adjacent areas: As a lifelong northwesterner, she was used to rain.
The term applies similarly to northwestern regions of other countries.
