non-Arab
Outside the ummah
Non-Arab describes people, cultures, or nations that are not ethnically or culturally Arab.
The term appears most often in discussions of the Middle East and North Africa, where Arab and non-Arab populations coexist: non-Arab minorities in Iraq, non-Arab Muslims.
Kurds, Berbers, and Persians are among the major non-Arab peoples of the region.
