no-hitter
Pitcher's perfect outing
A no-hitter is a baseball game in which a pitcher (or pitching staff) allows no hits to the opposing team through all nine innings.
The pitcher may still walk batters or hit them with pitches—a no-hitter only requires preventing hits.
A perfect game, by contrast, allows no baserunners at all.
He threw a no-hitter against the Cubs.
