perfect game

All twelve strikes thrown

A perfect game in baseball is one in which no opposing batter reaches base—no hits, no walks, no errors, no hit batters.

It's the rarest individual pitching achievement.

The term extends to other sports: in bowling, a perfect game means twelve consecutive strikes for a score of 300.

More loosely, any flawless performance: She played a perfect game of chess.
