nailset
Drives heads flush
A nailset is a short metal tool with a tapered tip, used to drive nail heads below the surface of wood without marring the surrounding area.
The carpenter holds it against the nail head and strikes the flat end with a hammer: Use a nailset to countersink the finishing nails before applying wood filler.
