nail puller

Removes embedded fasteners

A nail puller is a tool designed to grip and extract nails from wood or other materials.

The typical form is a metal bar with a curved, forked end that slides under the nail head, using leverage to pry it out: I grabbed the nail puller to remove the bent nails from the deck boards.

Also called a cat's paw or pry bar, depending on the design.
