musclehead

All brawn, no brains

A musclehead is someone obsessed with building muscle, often to the point where it seems to crowd out intellectual pursuits.

The term is mildly derisive, implying that weightlifting has replaced thinking: Don't ask that musclehead—he spends more time at the gym than the library.

Sometimes used self-deprecatingly by fitness enthusiasts.
