multinucleated
Having multiple nuclei
Multinucleated describes a cell containing more than one nucleus.
Most cells have a single nucleus, but some—like skeletal muscle fibers and certain immune cells—contain many, either from cell fusion or from nuclear division without cell division.
The multinucleated giant cells indicated a foreign body reaction.
