motor nerves
Muscle command pathways
Motor nerves are nerves that carry signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles, causing movement.
They form the outbound half of the nervous system's communication loop—sensory nerves bring information in, motor nerves send commands out.
Damage to motor nerves causes weakness or paralysis: The injury affected the motor nerves controlling his hand.
