mother goddess

A mother goddess is a female deity embodying fertility, creation, and nurturing—often associated with the earth, harvest, or cycles of life and death.

Such figures appear across many religions and mythologies: Gaia in Greek tradition, Isis in Egyptian, Devi in Hinduism.

The term may also describe a primordial creator deity from whom all existence springs.

Ancient peoples worshipped mother goddesses to ensure abundant crops.
