milia

Tiny facial cysts

Milia are tiny white or yellowish cysts that form just beneath the skin's surface, most commonly appearing on the face around the eyes, nose, and cheeks.

These small bumps occur when keratin becomes trapped under the skin and are especially common in newborns, though they can appear at any age.

Milia are harmless and often resolve on their own without treatment.

The singular form is milium.
