kidney cyst
Organ fluid sac
A kidney cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on or within a kidney.
Most are simple cysts—benign, thin-walled, and discovered incidentally during imaging for other conditions.
They rarely cause symptoms unless they grow large enough to cause pain or affect kidney function.
Complex cysts with irregular features may require monitoring or evaluation for malignancy.
