A metro stop is a station on an underground or urban rail system where passengers board and exit trains.
The term is common in cities with subway systems called metros: Get off at the next metro stop.
In American usage, metro stop and subway stop are interchangeable, though metro stop predominates in cities like Washington, D.C.
