lightfastness

Resists sun bleaching

Lightfastness is a material's resistance to fading or discoloring when exposed to light.

The term appears most often in discussions of dyes, pigments, inks, and textiles: The artist chose pigments with high lightfastness for the outdoor mural.

A fabric or artwork with poor lightfastness will deteriorate under sunlight or fluorescent lighting.
