fugitiveness
Quality of escaping
Fugitiveness is the quality of being fleeting or transient—here briefly, then gone.
The term applies to things that resist capture or permanence: the fugitiveness of memory, the fugitiveness of youth.
It shares territory with evanescence and ephemerality but carries a faint suggestion of escape, as if the thing were actively slipping away.
