leukemic

Having malignant blood

Leukemic describes something related to or affected by leukemia, a cancer of blood-forming tissues that results in abnormal white blood cell production.

The term most often modifies cells or patients: leukemic cells multiply rapidly, the leukemic patient responded well to chemotherapy.

Someone who has leukemia may be referred to as a leukemic, though this noun use is less common than the adjectival form.
