leadlight
Decorative glass panes
Leadlight is a window or door panel made of small pieces of glass held together by strips of lead, creating decorative patterns or pictures.
The technique is similar to stained glass but typically uses clear or lightly tinted glass rather than deeply colored panes.
Common in older homes and churches: The leadlight windows cast geometric shadows across the floor.
More frequent in Australian and New Zealand English than American.
