lateralise
Move to side
Lateralise means to locate or develop predominantly on one side, especially of the brain.
In neuroscience, certain functions lateralise—language typically lateralises to the left hemisphere, spatial reasoning to the right: Brain scans showed how the task lateralised.
The British spelling; Americans write lateralize.
