landing strips
Planes touch down
Landing strips are paved or cleared areas where aircraft take off and land—smaller or less developed than full runways.
A landing strip might serve a remote airfield or private property.
In grooming, a landing strip is a narrow vertical rectangle of pubic hair left above the genitals when the surrounding area is shaved or waxed: She asked the waxer to leave a landing strip.
