health points
Character stamina pool
Health points are a numerical measure of a character's vitality in video games and tabletop games—when they reach zero, the character dies or is incapacitated.
Often abbreviated HP.
Attacks reduce health points; healing restores them.
The boss has 10,000 health points.
The concept has spread to casual usage for personal energy or wellbeing: I'm low on health points today.
