jungle fever
Equatorial forest illness
Jungle fever is slang for sexual attraction between people of different races, particularly a white person's attraction to a Black person.
The term gained currency from Spike Lee's 1991 film of that name.
It carries offensive connotations, reducing interracial desire to something exotic or primal.
Separately, jungle fever once referred to malaria or other tropical fevers.
