jerkin
Tudor leather garment
A jerkin is a close-fitting sleeveless jacket, typically made of leather, worn by men in the 16th and 17th centuries over a doublet.
The term now appears mainly in historical fiction and Renaissance faire contexts: He wore a leather jerkin over his linen shirt.
