frock coat
Victorian men's garment
A frock coat is a man's formal coat with a fitted bodice and skirt extending to the knees, typically double-breasted with a full skirt all around.
It was standard formal daywear in the 19th century: He wore a black frock coat and top hat.
The style is now rare, seen mainly at period weddings or historical reenactments.
