A jelly roll is a thin sheet of sponge cake spread with jelly or jam, then rolled into a spiral.
The term extends to anything with that rolled shape.
In jazz, jelly roll is slang for sex or female genitalia, notably in the stage name of early jazz pianist Jelly Roll Morton: I ain't gonna give nobody none of my jelly roll.
