powerband
Optimal RPM zone
The powerband is the range of engine speeds where an engine produces its most usable power, typically measured in RPM.
Motorcyclists and car enthusiasts talk about staying in the powerband for optimal acceleration: Keep the RPM in the powerband through the corner.
The term extends to any zone of peak performance: She hits her powerband after her second cup of coffee.
