inflammability
Tendency to ignite
Inflammability is the quality of being easily set on fire.
Despite appearances, inflammability means the same thing as flammability—both describe how readily something ignites.
The prefix in- here intensifies rather than negates, though this causes enough confusion that flammability has largely replaced it in safety contexts: Check the inflammability rating before purchasing fabrics.
