MSDS

Hazardous substance documentation

MSDS is Material Safety Data Sheet, a document detailing the properties and hazards of a chemical substance.

Required in workplaces where employees handle chemicals, an MSDS covers composition, safe handling procedures, storage requirements, and emergency response measures: Check the MSDS before working with that solvent.

Now largely replaced by the term SDS (Safety Data Sheet) under international standards.
