in-off
Cue-ball pocketed accidentally
In-off is a shot in billiards or snooker where the cue ball strikes another ball and then falls into a pocket.
In snooker, this is a foul that awards points to the opponent.
The term comes from the ball going "in off" another ball: He lost the frame on an unlucky in-off.
