identity parade
Witness identification procedure
An identity parade is a British term for what Americans call a lineup—a procedure where a witness attempts to identify a suspect from among a group of similar-looking people: The victim picked him out of an identity parade.
Police use identity parades to test whether eyewitness identification holds up when the suspect isn't isolated.
