ice fog
Frozen airborne droplets
Ice fog is fog composed of tiny ice crystals rather than water droplets, occurring in extremely cold conditions—typically below −30°F.
Common in Arctic regions and subarctic cities, it often forms when moisture from vehicle exhaust, power plants, or human breath freezes instantly in still, frigid air: The ice fog was so thick we couldn't see across the street.
