horn sections
Band's wind instruments
A horn section is the group of brass and sometimes woodwind players in a band, typically saxophones, trumpets, and trombones.
The term comes from jazz and popular music rather than classical orchestras: The song builds to a climax with the horn section kicking in.
Horn sections add punch, melody lines, and rhythmic accents to funk, soul, R&B, and rock arrangements.
