Weather Report
Zawinul-Shorter jazz group
Weather Report is the jazz fusion band formed in 1970 by keyboardist Joe Zawinul and saxophonist Wayne Shorter, influential for blending jazz improvisation with electronic instruments and world music elements.
Their album *Heavy Weather* (1977) produced the widely recognized track "Birdland." The band dissolved in 1986. (Lowercase weather report is a forecast of atmospheric conditions.)
