historical works
Books about antiquity
Historical works are writings, films, or other productions that deal with past events, periods, or figures.
The term covers everything from scholarly histories and biographies to historical novels and documentaries: The library has an extensive collection of historical works on the Civil War.
Unlike primary sources, historical works interpret or narrate the past rather than originating from it.
