henosis

Soul dissolves into One

Henosis is a mystical concept of unity or oneness with the divine, central to Neoplatonic philosophy.

The term describes the soul's return to and merger with the One—the ultimate source of all existence.

Plotinus treated henosis as the goal of philosophical and spiritual practice: transcending individual consciousness to achieve union with absolute reality.

The concept influenced later Christian mysticism and other contemplative traditions.
