head rolls
Neck loosening exercise
Head rolls are a stretching exercise where you rotate your head in a slow circle, bringing the chin toward the chest, then ear toward shoulder, then back, then to the other shoulder.
Physical therapists and yoga instructors sometimes discourage them, warning that rolling the head backward compresses the cervical spine.
Start with some gentle head rolls to loosen up your neck.
