ankle rolls
Joint mobility exercise
Ankle rolls are a simple exercise or warm-up movement where you rotate your foot in circles at the ankle joint, typically done before physical activity to increase mobility and prevent injury.
The motion can go clockwise or counterclockwise: Do some ankle rolls before we start the hike.
Also used in physical therapy to restore range of motion after an ankle sprain.
