hazy IPA
Unfiltered craft beer
A hazy IPA is a style of India Pale Ale brewed to be intentionally cloudy rather than clear.
The haze comes from suspended proteins, yeast, and hop particles that would be filtered out of conventional IPAs.
Hazy IPAs emphasize fruity, juicy hop flavors over bitterness, with a soft, creamy mouthfeel.
Also called New England IPA or NEIPA, after the region where the style originated in the 2010s.
