hardcoding
Literal value insertion
Hardcoding is embedding fixed values directly into a program's source code rather than making them configurable or variable.
A hardcoded password can't be changed without modifying the code itself.
The practice is generally discouraged because it makes software inflexible and harder to maintain: Don't hardcode the server address—put it in a config file.
The opposite approach uses variables, parameters, or external configuration.
