Center line boundary
Half court refers to one side of a basketball court, divided at the center line.
In pickup basketball, half-court games use only one basket: We played half court since there were only six of us.
A half-court shot is launched from beyond the center line—a long-distance attempt often seen at buzzer time or fan contests.
