gusher

Uncontrolled well flow

A gusher is an oil well that produces a powerful, uncontrolled flow—oil shooting into the air from underground pressure.

The term extends to anything that pours forth abundantly: a gusher of tears, a gusher of praise.

A person who gushes effusively may also be called a gusher: She's such a gusher about her grandchildren.
