A picky eater is someone, usually a child, who refuses many foods or eats only a narrow range of items: My daughter is such a picky eater—she'll only have plain pasta and chicken nuggets.
The term implies frustration on the part of whoever prepares meals.
Adults who remain selective about food may be called picky eaters with mild disapproval.
