ghost images
Lingering screen remnants
Ghost images are faint duplicate or residual visual impressions appearing where they shouldn't.
In photography and optics, they result from lens flare or internal reflections: The bright light created ghost images across the frame.
On screens, ghost images are afterimages from pixels that respond too slowly, or burn-in from static content displayed too long.
In printing, they're unwanted faint reproductions from previous print jobs.
