genderqueers
Beyond the binary
Genderqueers is the plural of genderqueer—people whose gender identity falls outside the conventional binary of male and female.
The term encompasses those who identify as both genders, neither, or something else entirely: Genderqueers often prefer they/them pronouns.
Like queer itself, genderqueer was reclaimed from pejorative use.
