gabber

Nonstop rapid chatterer

Gabber is a style of electronic dance music that emerged from the Netherlands in the early 1990s, characterized by aggressive, distorted kick drums at extremely fast tempos, typically 150-200 beats per minute or higher.

The term comes from a Yiddish word meaning friend or mate, which was Amsterdam slang before it named the genre.

Gabber also refers to someone who listens to or makes this music, often associated with a distinctive subculture featuring shaved heads and tracksuits.
