full-auto
Holds trigger, keeps shooting
Full-auto describes a firearm that continues firing as long as the trigger is held down, discharging rounds automatically until the magazine empties or the trigger releases.
Distinguished from semi-auto, which fires one round per trigger pull.
The rifle was modified to full-auto.
Full-auto weapons are heavily restricted in most jurisdictions.
