frittata

Crustless Italian quiche

A frittata is an Italian egg dish similar to an omelet but cooked more slowly and finished under a broiler rather than folded.

Unlike omelets, frittatas have ingredients mixed throughout rather than wrapped inside: a spinach and mushroom frittata.

The dish is served in wedges, often at room temperature.
