forget-me-not

Small blue perennial

A forget-me-not is a small flowering plant with clusters of tiny blue flowers, often associated with remembrance and lasting affection.

The name comes from romantic legend—a lover drowning while picking the flowers supposedly called out "forget me not" as he threw them to his beloved.

She planted forget-me-nots on her mother's grave.
