flues
Chimney exhaust channels
Flues is the plural of flue, a duct or pipe that carries smoke, gas, or heat away from a fire or furnace.
A chimney contains a flue; so does a furnace or water heater.
The inspector checked the flues for blockages.
Flue also names a type of organ pipe and a kind of fishing net, though these uses are uncommon.
